I received this bicycle as a gift around 1992; I can't remember exactly. A friend of the family found it one day and after nobody responded to a lost-and-found ad in the newspaper, he gave it to me. I worked on it a little, then rode it for a couple of years. Once I graduated high school and started college, I left it in my parents' basement for the next 12 years. I've recently decided that I should dig it out and see about making it roadworthy again.

This bike needs some work, and some has already been performed:

• I've added a new seat
• I've added new rear brakes -- and found a LOT of runout on the rear rim!
• I have new tubes that need to be installed -- I don't trust the 12+ year old ones
• I need to true the wheels
• It needs some mirrors
• It needs new shift cables and housings
• It needs a good bath and lubrication
