Gina called me at 11:30 today, April 11, 2002 to tell me that she was just in a car wreck. She was sitting at a light in the left-hand lane The light turns green, and both Gina and the girl beside her start through the intersection. A Ford Ranger runs the stoplight and plows into the car beside Gina. That car is shoved into the passenger side of Gina's car, and both are pushed several feet; Gina was pushed onto a sidewalk, narrowly missing a lamp pole. A witness did stop, and a police officer was right behind the Ranger and saw the whole thing.
Nobody was injured in the wreck. The Ranger was immobile, missing its front-end. The car beside Gina was mashed on both sides and blew its airbags. Gina's airbags did not blow, but her passenger side is worse-for-wear. Slight dent in the front fender, damage to the door, and wrinkled the quarter panel.
